The FCT Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr. Olusola Odumosu, announced this on Friday at the Command’s headquarters in Abuja. He said the arrests were made during night patrols by the Corps’ covert operatives in collaboration with the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Tactical Team.

Recovered items from the suspects included one medium-sized traffic light pole and two large traffic light poles.

Dr. Odumosu assured residents of the FCT that the Corps remains committed to protecting public infrastructure and bringing vandals to justice. “We will not rest until these enemies of the state are flushed out completely,” he stated.

He added that four suspects were arrested in connection with the vandalism of streetlight poles at different locations in the city centre. According to him, Japheth Adams, aged 21, from Zango Kataf Local Government Area in Kaduna State, and Friday Ojo, aged 51, from Ojo Local Government Area in Lagos State, were apprehended around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Eden Garden in the Utako area while vandalising medium streetlight poles.
