Gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi, has countered Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji, following her ‘mental health is spiritual’ statement, saying that there is absolutely nothing spiritual about it.
Genevieve had said; “Mental health is more spiritual than is physical.
“Rededicate your life to the God you serve.
“Get rebaptized.
Reacting to her post, Bisi Alimi in an Instagram post on Sunday said; “Dear lovely Nigerians, there is nothing, absolutely nothing, spiritual about mental health.
“If you or someone you know is experiencing any form of mental health challenges at any stage, please see a professional that is not religious nor judgemental, it is okay not to be okay all the time.
“You are all you got, please take care of you, don’t let any misinformed individuals tell you otherwise.”
