Nollywood actor Nosa Rex has publicly criticized a Ghanaian television station for allegedly broadcasting his latest film, Prince of Peace, without authorization just six hours after it premiered on YouTube.

In a strongly worded video posted on Instagram, Rex expressed outrage over what he described as a blatant disregard for intellectual property rights and the creative efforts of filmmakers.

“Ghana TV station, Ghana TV Station. The TV station wey dey show our film for free. Na Ogun wey go kpai all of una. Ghana entertainment will continue to be behind. As e be say nobody wan get sense tell una say that thing wey una dey do no good. I’m using this opportunity to call out all of Ghana TV stations. You guys are all stupid. No disrespect to my fans, you guys know that I love you but e don dey too much. Enough is Enough. I just released Prince of Peace, una don stream am. Why?”, he said.

Rex did not mince words as he directly addressed the TV station and used the opportunity to call out other broadcasters allegedly engaging in similar practices.

This is not the first time Ghanaian TV stations have been accused of airing Nigerian films without consent. Other Nollywood figures, including Omoni Oboli, Bimbo Ademoye, and Ruth Kadiri, have also raised concerns over unauthorized broadcasts of their work.

Rex’s remarks have reignited conversations about copyright infringement across African media platforms and the need for stronger enforcement to protect creative content.
