Northern food dealers agree to lift ban on food supply to Southern Nigeria
The leadership of the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria has agreed to end the blockade of food supplies to the south.
Recall that the Association of South East Town Union earlier had disclosed that people of the region are capable of feeding themselves, dismissing threats by some Northern Groups to end the supply of food items to the South.
The AUFCDN, however, says it has reached an agreement at a meeting with some governors in Abuja on the 3rd of March to end the food blockade.

A youth leader of the cattle dealers in Lagos, Abdullahi Tom told Daily Trust that the executive governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, was among the leaders who helped broker the peace deal.
The union had gone on strike over claims that it lost some members and properties during the #EndSARS protest and the recent mayhem that took place at Shasa Market in Ibadan.
