Veteran Nollywood actor Tom Njemanze has been diagnosed with prostate cancer according to an update shared by movie producer Stanley Ontop.
Ontop posted a video on Instagram showing Njemanze in a hospital bed, connected to an oxygen cylinder and intravenous drips, calling for urgent support from fans and well-wishers.
Stanley Ontop emphasized the immediate need for surgery, appealing to the public for contributions to help cover the medical expenses.
He wrote, “Hello guys, one of our Nollywood legends is sick and needs urgent surgery. Sir Tom Njemanze has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, and he needs your support to undergo surgery. Nothing is too small, fams. Help our legend live again.”
Tom Njemanze began his acting career in the 1990s and has since become a respected figure in Nollywood.
He is well known for his roles in films such as Tokunboh, Pounds and Dollars, Atosa, Issakaba, Osuofia in London, Brain Box, and Igbotic Love.
