Nollywood star Dakore, Timini Egbuson lose father

Nollywood actors and siblings, Timini Egbuson and Dakore Egbuson-Akande, have lost their father.

Timini announced the death on Sunday through his Instagram page, where he shared photos of his late father alongside an emotional message.

He wrote, “Didn’t think I’ll start the year saying this… Rest in peace Dad. So much left unsaid, but I’ll keep making you proud.”

The announcement triggered an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, fans and friends across the entertainment industry.

Actress Funke Akindele commented, “May Daddy’s soul rest in peace.”

Actor Uzee Usman also wrote, “So sorry for your loss… may his gentle soul rest in peace.”

Other celebrities, including Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, Gabriel Afolayan, Mercy Aigbe and Mike Afolarin, sent messages praying for the repose of the departed soul and strength for the family.

Neither Timini nor Dakore disclosed details about their father’s age or the cause of death.

Timini Egbuson is one of Nollywood’s leading actors, known for his roles in films and television series such as Shuga, Elevator Baby, Fifty, Skinny Girl in Transit and Manhunting with Mum.

His elder sister, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, is also a respected actress with decades of experience in the Nigerian film industry.
