A heartwarming reconciliation between two veteran Nollywood actors, Yinka Quadri and Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has brought relief to fans and followers as a long-standing feud between the duo came to an end.
The reconciliation, which took place during the birthday celebration of actor Yomi Fabiyi on Wednesday evening, was facilitated by renowned Esa Oriki Orile exponent, Sulaiman Ajilara, popularly called Ajobiewe.
In a viral video shared on social media platforms, Ajobiewe urged the veteran actors to put aside their differences and embrace each other. Singing in Yoruba, he pleaded for reconciliation, emphasizing the importance of ending their feud.
“Please hug each other and let it end there. I do not want to hear anything about your misunderstandings anymore for God’s sake,” Ajobiewe sang.
Moved by his heartfelt appeal, Quadri and Ogogo embraced each other, signaling the end of their rift.
Reacting to the heartwarming reconciliation, Nigerians commended Ajobiewe for his role in reuniting the actors, expressing joy at seeing them back together.
In a tweet, Lanre Adeola commended Ajobiewe, saying, “That’s lovely. An elder that doesn’t allow the baby’s neck to twist in the market.”
Another Twitter user, Olanrewaju, expressed gratitude for Ajobiewe’s intervention, writing, “May God keep Ajobiewe for us for many years in good health. This is so nice.”
Meanwhile, Yinka Quadri, in a video shared by YouTuber Kilarigbo, affirmed his friendship with Ogogo, describing them as inseparable.
He revealed that they had been friends since they met in 1985 and addressed their occasional misunderstandings, stating that they resolve their issues without third-party intervention.
Efforts to reach Ogogo for comment were unsuccessful as he did not respond to calls or text messages.
According to PUNCH, the cause of the rift between Quadri and Ogogo is unknown to the public, but they gradually appeared less together at public events.
Despite the rift, industry insiders revealed that efforts were made to reconcile the actors, with prominent figures likely intervening to restore peace between them.
