A day into the year 2017, the Nollywood has recorded its first death of the year.
Toyin Majekodunmi, popularly known as Iya Kike died on Monday.The cause of her death is yet to be officially announced. However, NGTrends reported that she died of electrocution.
She is survived by her husband, also an actor, Solomon Majekodunmi popularly known as ‘Baba Kekere’ and three children.
Majekodunmi’s death was announced by actress and movie producer, Bimbo Success.
The deceased featured in numerous Yoruba movies and often starred alongside her husband while she was alive.
Prior to launching her movie career, she worked with the Lagos State Ministry of Information for many years.
Her husband also worked in International Banking Division Department at First Bank Plc .
Many of her colleagues and fans have taken to social media to sympathise with her family and eulogise her.
