Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola dies at 43

Popular Nollywood actress and film producer, Allwell Ademola, has reportedly passed away at the age of 43, throwing the Nigerian film industry into mourning.

Entertainment industry sources confirmed on Saturday that Ademola died after suffering a suspected heart attack at her residence. She was said to have been rushed to the hospital, but efforts to save her were unsuccessful.

News of her death spread quickly within the film community, drawing emotional reactions from colleagues and fans across social media platforms.

Veteran actress Faithia Williams expressed shock and grief on Instagram, writing, “Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke. Allahu Akbar..Allwell.”

Another Nollywood star, Mide Martins, also reacted by sharing Ademola’s photo on Facebook. She wrote, “BLACK SATURDAY……This is not fair😭 May God forgive your shortcomings Allwell😭😭😭.”

Actor Damola Olatunji shared a candlelight image with a short but touching message, stating, “Life is a mirage.”

Actress Bidemi Kosoko openly rejected the news, expressing disbelief and emotional pain. “No way. No, no,, no. Ko possible ooo. This isn’t true. God forbid, in Jesus’ name,” she wrote.

She added, “I refuse to accept this one Lai Lai God forbid. Olorun oni je. Just reply to my message, abeg Oremi/aunty mi. I will wait patiently for your reply.”

Since the news broke, tributes have continued to pour in from fellow actors, filmmakers and fans, who described Ademola as talented, hardworking and full of life.

As of the time of filing this report, the family has yet to issue an official statement on her passing.
