Nollywood actor and producer, Yomi Fabiyi, has reacted to the bail granted to his colleague, Omiyinka Olanrewaju James aka Baba Ijesha, over the alleged sexual molestation of a minor.
Fabiyi disclosed that there can be no true justice when the human rights of people including suspects are violated.

He further argued that Nigeria would be better if people start respecting the rule of law in terms of human rights including rights to a fair hearing.

Baba Ijesha was arrested in April for the alleged crime but was however granted bail on Monday on health grounds according to his lawyer.

According to his lawyer, Adesina Ogunlana, bail conditions are being perfected ahead of his release.

Fabiyi, who has been agitating for his release, said the latest development was a welcome development.

Fabiyi posted on Instagram:

“Human Rights is Key. There can NEVER be true JUSTICE if human rights of suspects, complainant violated. Rights which include Fair Hearing and strict adherence to the RULE of LAW.

“Do more on Human Rights, then Nigeria will develop and be peaceful.”
