The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. has firmly denied reports claiming it is selling employment slots to the public.

In a statement released on Saturday by the company’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, NNPC Ltd. urged the public, especially jobseekers, to ignore these rumors.

Soneye stated, that there is no iota of truth in the insinuations that NNPC Ltd. has employment slots on offer to anyone who wishes to buy.

He emphasized that these claims are merely “antics of fraudsters” looking to exploit unsuspecting applicants.

He further clarified that as a responsible corporate entity, NNPC Ltd.’s recruitment process is transparent and does not involve the sale of slots or any form of inducement.

The company also issued a stern warning to the public, saying, “Anyone who pays money for any job in the company does so at his or her own risk.”

NNPC Ltd. advised jobseekers to be cautious and avoid falling victim to such fraudulent schemes.
