Simon Ekpa, a self-acclaimed disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, on Friday mocked the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, who was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Recall WuzupNigria that the immediate past governor was reportedly on his way out of the country when he was apprehended at about 8.30pm and whisked away at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport hours after after he handed to prof. Charles Soludo.
Although the reason for his arrest has not been given, sources said that Obiano has been on the Commission’s watchlist for a while.
Reacting to his arrest, Ekpa tweeted via his official handle on Friday that it was a shame that Obiano could not spend a night in his personal home as a former governor.
An embittered Ekpa berated the embattled former Anambra governor for attempting to flee the country for refuge in America after he allegedly championed the proscription of IPOB in 2017.
“It is a shame that Obiano couldn’t spend one more night in his so glorified Nigeria, we expected him to run to Abuja immediately but little did we know he was already on his way to America where he will be enjoying security with his families after proscribing IPOB in 2017,” he said.
