Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing, has sparked reactions after sharing a message that many believe is connected to the ongoing marital crisis involving her colleague, Uche Ogbodo, and her younger husband, Bobby Maris.
The controversy escalated after Bobby Maris publicly took a swipe at Uche, declaring that the title of a wife is not meant for every woman.
Uche responded with a series of posts, including one about surviving a narcissist, before later revealing that she had walked away from what she described as her “Princess husband.”
The situation took another turn when Uche Ogbodo’s sister publicly accused Bobby Maris of being lazy and failing to contribute to the family. She alleged that he spends most of the week sleeping, adds nothing to the household’s progress, and constantly creates problems for his wife.
According to her, Uche’s only wrongdoing was choosing to separate herself from him. She also urged Bobby Maris to move on and “find his next client.”
Amid the heated exchanges, Nkechi Blessing shared what appeared to be a subtle reaction via her Instagram Stories on July 7. In her post, the actress cautioned women against marrying men who rely on them financially, arguing that such relationships rarely have a successful outcome. She added that attempts to hide such situations usually end in failure.
She wrote: “Never think marrying a man you are clearly feeding will last. No matter how much you tend to cover it up, e no go ever end well. If you jam the one wey lazy still get dirty-smelling pride join? Your own don finish”.
