The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Wednesday declared that the National Identity Number is compulsory for applicants hoping to register for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry examination.
This is just as the board disclosed that it has released the timetable for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry examination.
The board made the announcement in a statement by JAMB Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr. Fabian Benjamin on Wednesday.
Benjamin stated that JAMB Governing Board took the decision after its meeting on the 22nd of March, 2021.
He announced that the UTME would hold from Saturday, 5th to Saturday, 19th June 2021
The spokesman said registration for the examinations would commence on Thursday, 8th April to Saturday, 15th May 2021.
Benjamin, however, warned that there would be no extension of time for the sale of the UTME/DE application documents, adding that the registration would take place in 700 Computer–Based Test Centres nationwide.
