Later in the day, thunderstorms and more rain are expected in Adamawa, Gombe, and other parts of the north.
In the central region, NiMet said the morning will begin with sunshine and cloudy skies, but most areas will experience light to moderate rainfall in the afternoon and evening.
For the southern states, including Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Enugu, Edo, Lagos, Imo, and Rivers, the day will start with cloudy skies and light rain. More rain is expected later in the day, with moderate showers likely.
NiMet warned Nigerians to be alert for possible flash flooding and local disruptions as the rains and storms continue.
