The National Identity Management Commission has announced new prices for its services, marking the first price change in ten years.

NIMC’s Head of Communication, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, said on Thursday that the review was done to match current operating costs and industry standards. He explained that the new prices will help NIMC continue offering quality services while still making them affordable and accessible to Nigerians.

He said, “The new prices take effect immediately. NIMC warns all Front-End Partners (FEPs) to strictly follow the new rates. Any partner charging more than the approved amount will be punished. This could include cancelling their licence.”

Adegoke added that the updated prices would be available on the NIMC website at [www.nimc.gov.ng](http://www.nimc.gov.ng) for the public and other stakeholders to check.

“NIMC is committed to fair and transparent pricing,” he said. “We urge Nigerians to report any Front-End Partner collecting extra charges to our Inspectorate and Enforcement Unit via [email protected].”

The Director-General of NIMC, Mrs. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, also thanked Nigerians and partners for their continued support. She appreciated President Bola Tinubu, the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and all NIMC staff for their efforts in building a strong national identity system.

She said, “With everyone’s support, we are making progress in creating a secure and lasting identity system for all Nigerians.”
