NIJ assures quality education, convocates 922 students
The Nigerian Institute of Journalism has celebrated its 50th anniversary and 6th convocation.
The Chairman of the Governing Council, Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Chief Olusegun Osoba, noted that efforts are being made to elevate the institute to a proficient finishing school in the training of Mass Communication practitioners.
Osoba on Tuesday disclosed at the sixth convocation and 50th anniversary of NIJ, stating that the institution had proven its mettle in the last five decades by producing qualified personnel in journalism and advertising/ public relations, among others.
He disclosed that NIJ awarded diplomas and certificates to 922 graduates who had excelled in learning and in character.
“It is our desire to grow this institution in the years to come into an incomparably efficient finishing school in matters of mass communication. To achieve this threshold we will need the support of our partners and stakeholders.
