Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Dennis, netted his second Premier League goal to inspire Watford to defeat Norwich City 3-1.
The Hornets who lost to Wolves on matchday four got to a perfect start against Daniel Farke’s men with a 17th-minute opener from the Nigerian international.
Teemu Pukki (35′) equalised as both sides go into the break 1-1.
However, Norwich lost the lead and the game after Ismaïla Sarr netted a second-half brace (63′, 80′) to seal the win for Francisco Javier Muñoz Llompart’s men.
Meanwhile, Dennis is only the second player to score both Watford’s first home goal and first away goal in a Premier League season, after Etienne Capoue in 2016-17, according to OptaJoe.
Pool reports that Norwich have lost each of their last 15 Premier League games under Farke, the longest losing run by any side in English top-flight history under a single manager.
Watford enjoyed an away Premier League win for the first time in 11 games (D1 L9), netting as many goals against Norwich as they managed in their previous eight on the road in the top-flight.
Farke’s men just the fifth team to lose each of their first five matches in a Premier League campaign, after Southampton in 1998-99 (survived), Sunderland in 2005-06 (relegated), Portsmouth in 2009-10 (relegated) and Crystal Palace in 2017-18 (survived).
