Former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, is set to sign for Kano Pillars.

The move is part of the ambassadorial deal Yobo signed with the League Management Company (LMC), organisers of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). It is also part of the Elite Players Scheme created to boost the quality of the league.

This means the 35-year-old could have chosen any interested club to play for in the last 12 games of the season other than Kano Pillars.

The central defender may play his first game for the team next week Wednesday in the club’s clash with Sunshine Stars of Akure.
