Veteran comedian Bright Okpocha, fondly called by his stage name, Basketmouth lost his mum on Monday, October 3, 2016.
The bereaved comedian took to his Instagram page moments ago to mourn the demise of his mum whom he referred to as his “angel and first love”.
He wrote, “Last night my angel left me, my first love stopped breathing and it’s the deepest pain I’ve ever felt. I love you for every sacrifice you made to make me the man I am today, I’ve loved you through the tough times. I’ve loved you through happier days and all I can say at this point is that I will love you forever. I will miss you mummy.”
This comes weeks after Basketmouth and his family were robbed at gunpoint in his Lekki home.
Since Basketmouth disclosed the sad news on his Instagram page, it has garnered over 1.4k comments from his fans commiserating with him.
