Distance is no barrier as Nigerians in the diaspora have joined the #IStandWithNigeria protest to demand good governance.

Nigerians in the United Kingdom added a twist to the protest by demanding a short speech from the president who is currently on vacation in the UK. The reason behind the protesters demand may be connected to the rumours that the president was in a bad health condition in a UK hospital. Fueling this rumour may have been the president’s sudden request for extension of his stay in the Queen’s country.

President Muhammadu Buhari was due back in Nigeria on Sunday evening but he forwarded  a letter to the Senate demanding an extension. His new resumption day is yet to be stated.

Here are some of the photos from the UK protest.
