The legal counsel to social media commentator VeryDarkMan, Deji Adeyanju, has sparked discussion with a pointed message urging his client to exercise caution in his public engagements.
In a post shared on X, Adeyanju disclosed that he frequently advises VeryDarkMan to avoid actions that could put him at risk. However, he noted that his warnings are often disregarded.
The lawyer issued a stark reminder about the fleeting nature of public concern, suggesting that if any harm were to come to the outspoken critic, the public’s interest would quickly fade.
“I call VDM every time to be careful and stop taking unnecessary risks but he doesn’t listen most of the time. If anything happens to you today, everyone has moved on by tomorrow. We only overrate ourselves, Nigerians don’t rate anybody,” Adeyanju wrote.
