Nigerians are unhappy with APC, says Ndume

Senator Ali Ndume has said that public dissatisfaction with the ruling All Progressives Congress does not automatically translate into an advantage for opposition parties ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television, the Borno South lawmaker acknowledged that many Nigerians are not fully satisfied with the current administration led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but argued that this discontent has not strengthened opposition forces.

Ndume maintained that the opposition African Democratic Congress cannot yet be considered a serious threat to the APC, stressing that the political class shares similar characteristics regardless of party affiliation.

He further noted that the key challenges facing the government remain insecurity and citizens’ welfare, adding that improvements in these areas and the success of ongoing reforms could influence public perception.

“I will not say Nigerians are happy with all that we are doing, but at the same time, I cannot say the opposition is a threat because we are all one — all the same politicians,” he said.
