Nigerian contestant, Godwin Awaji-Iroso Abiodun, has made the country proud by winning the Best Physique award at the preliminary stage of Mister Cosmopolitan 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The event, which took place at the MBK Centre on Friday, featured 18 contestants from around the world. Godwin, who earlier won the Misters of Nigeria 2025 competition, is now representing Nigeria on the global stage.
Sharing his excitement on Facebook, he wrote, “Best physique Cosmopolitan 2025 all the way from PH to Thailand.”
The Rivers-born model and creative designer also showcased Nigeria’s national costume, “Omu Alabo – The Warlord,” inspired by King Agbanijike of Bille Kingdom in Rivers State. The costume, which reflected the heritage and warrior spirit of the Niger Delta people, was part of the cultural showcase.
Other winners at the preliminaries included a Filipino contestant, who took the Best National Costume award, and a Thai contestant, who won Best Talent. Godwin was also recognized for his swimwear performance during the show.
Godwin, who once held the title of Mr Rivers State University 2023/2024, will now look forward to the grand finale, where semifinalists will be chosen from the pool of global contestants.
The Mister Cosmopolitan competition began earlier this week with a sash ceremony at Divalux Resort & Spa in Bangkok, hosted by the pageant’s founding committee led by Faiz Noh.
