Nigerian star signs new contract with Chelsea
Nigeria’s defender, Kenneth Omeruo, has signed a contract extension with Chelsea, this is according to his adviser, Conleth Chika Akujobi.
It was learnt that Omeruo’s new contract with Chelsea will run out in June 2019.
“Chelsea have proposed that Kenneth’s contract be extended by a year, it will now run till 2019,” Akujobi told africanfootball.com.
Reports say Omeruo will be loaned out to Besiktas ahead of the new season.
The Super Eagles central defender was signed by Chelsea in 2012 immediately after the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Colombia.
