Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche speaks on racism in La Liga

Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche who plies his trade in Europe with Spanish football club Getafe has opened up about his experience in La Liga.

Speaking with ESPNAfrica, the footballer noted that there were very obvious signs of racism against him.

Sharing his experience with the referees, he said, “the first two, three matches in Laliga, I saw it with my eyes, the referees, they are soo bad.

“They will kick me, the referees will just say I should stand up, no, it is foul, you have to blow it, but if they kick another person, the refree will just blow it and it very painful and you cannot do anything and you don’t have any power because the refree has power to do anything that he want.

“I will fall down, they would kick me, in front of the refree and the refree will not do anything, no, it is not good.”

Also speaking about the behaviour of the fans, the midfielder noted that some of the fans outrigthly display racist behaviour
