Nigerian beauty queen Mercy Babajide named Miss Aura International Peace Ambassador

Nigerian beauty queen and journalist, Mercy Babajide, has been crowned Miss Aura International Peace Ambassador 2025 at the global pageant held in Antalya, Turkey.

Babajide, who currently holds the titles of Exquisite Queen Nigeria World and Miss Aura Nigeria 2025, has now added international recognition to her list of accolades, further solidifying her status as an emerging figure on the global pageant scene.

Her journey from Ekiti State to international acclaim underscores a story of perseverance and grit.

Despite facing challenges such as visa delays and limited time to prepare for the competition, Babajide displayed composure and excellence throughout the event.

She earned commendable placements during the contest, securing a Top 12 finish in the Intelligence Round and placing in the Top 10 for the Best National Costume category.

Recall that on May 23, she advanced to the Top 20 finalists, continuing Nigeria’s strong representation at the Miss Aura International pageant.

Mercy’s appointment as Peace Ambassador was based on her diplomatic poise, leadership attributes, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to advocacy, according to a statement from the Miss Aura International Organization.

Outside the pageant world, Babajide is a qualified journalist and media professional.

She holds a degree in Political Science from Redeemer’s University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, and various certifications in Business Development.

She currently works as a newscaster and corporate event host, and is widely admired for her articulate speech and authoritative stage presence.
