Nigeria COVID-19 recovery deaths cases discharges NCDC



The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced the discharge of at least 248 COVID-19 patients following their recovery from the virus.

This was disclosed on the verified Twitter handle of the health agency in the early hours of Monday, May 3.

According to the agency’s statement, the newly discharged patients were recorded in Kwara State on Sunday, May 2nd, taking the total number of discharged patients to 155,361 nationwide.

Meanwhile, “on the 2nd of May 2021, 14 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria,” the NCDC said, adding that “till date, 165,167, cases have been confirmed, 155,361 cases have been discharged and 2,063 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”

“The 14 new cases are reported from 7 states-Osun (3), Ogun (3), Kaduna (3), Akwa Ibom (2), Abia (1), Fct (1), and Kwara (1).

“Today’s report includes 248 community recoveries in Kwara State managed in line with guidelines,” while the report from Lagos State is a workout data, the agency noted.
