Global rap icon, Nicki Minaj, has officially confirmed the release date of her highly anticipated sixth studio album, scheduled to drop on March 27, 2026.

Minaj, whose real name is Onika Maraj, first hinted at the new project on September 23, 2025, sharing a cryptic social media post that read “3.27.26” accompanied by a CD emoji — a teaser that quickly sparked excitement among her devoted fanbase, the Barbz.

In a new update shared on Sunday, the rapper revealed the title of the album’s opening track, building further anticipation among fans. “The first song on the new album is called *The Straw That Broke the Camel’s Back. I’ll unlock number 2 next week. Surprises for lots & lots of ppl. They have no clue,” Minaj posted on X.

She continued, “Oh, Barbz, you’re awesome. What are you guys wearing for release week? It’s 6 months away.”

This forthcoming project follows the success of her 2023 album Pink Friday 2, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. The album solidified her place in history as the first female rapper to earn three No. 1 albums in the United States. Pink Friday 2 also set multiple streaming records, amassing 170 million first-week streams on Global Spotify — the highest for any female rap album — and was supported by a globally acclaimed world tour.

Minaj’s recent announcement signals the beginning of a new musical era, with additional song reveals expected in the weeks ahead.
