NFF eyeing Ebere Eze, Sheyi Ojo, others – Iwobi
Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has embraced the move by the Nigeria Football Federation to include players of Nigerian origin, who have options to play for other countries, in the national team.
According to CompleteSports, the Super Eagles midfielder revealed that players such as Ebere Eze, Sheyi Ojo, and others are already being eyed by the NFF.
He said:
“Recently they get to ask me about so many players in England now, I feel like the scouting now has improved with Nigerian players based in England,” Iwobi said on Nedum Onuoha’s podcast.
“I have been asked a couple of questions, for example about Ebere Eze, Sheyi Ojo, about so many other players they are looking to get in. I feel like it is improving.”
Iwobi was on Friday in action for Everton in the game against Tottenham that ended 2-2, playing for 61 minutes before he was replaced by Seamus Coleman.
