The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed Danlami Alanana as the new Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria National League.
Alanana takes over from Ayo Abdulrahman, who has now been moved to the Inter-Club Competitions department at the NFF.
The announcement was made just as the second half of the 2024/25 NNL season kicked off on Friday.
Before this new role, Alanana had held several key positions in Nigerian football. He once served as the head of the Inter-Club department at the NFF and was also the first Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Women’s Football League. He has also worked with the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Football fans and stakeholders believe Alanana’s experience will bring fresh ideas and improvements to the running of the NNL.
The Nigeria National League is the second-tier football league in the country, and the new COO is expected to focus on making the league stronger, more organised, and more competitive.
