The Director General of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Femi Osanyitolu, says five bodies have so far been recovered from the explosion site.

Recall that WuzupNigeria reported that a gas explosion occurred on Tuesday morning on Ojekunle Street in the Ladipo area of Mushin in Lagos State.

Osabyitolu who said the explosion occurred around 7.40am, disclosed that 10 injured persons rescued from the scene had been treated and discharged.

The Deputy Head, Lagos Fire Service who spoke to our correspondent at the scene of the incident also confirmed that five bodies have been recovered from the debris of the explosion.
