The Buckingham Palace announced on Wednesday that Queen Elizabeth II will no longer embark on her planned visit to Northern Ireland.
Although the monarch is said to be “in good spirits,” she has reluctantly accepted to rest for a few days based on medical reasons.
Recall that the 95-year-old royal icon attended a reception for international business and investment leaders at Windsor Castle on Tuesday.
The statement partly read, “Her Majesty is in good spirits and is disappointed that she will no longer be able to visit Northern Ireland, where she had been due to undertake a series of engagements today and tomorrow,” the statement added.
“The queen sends her warmest good wishes to the people of Northern Ireland, and looks forward to visiting in the future.”
