Murder suspect, Chidinma Ojukwu, has been crowned Miss Cell 2022 during a beauty pageant held at the Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison in Apapa, Lagos State.
According to GoldmyneTV, the pageant was held to mark this year's International Women's Day.
In a photograph uploaded on Instagram, the murder suspect could be seen in a leopard-skin gown as she smiled down the runway.
"Chidinma Ojukwu, the alleged killer of Super Tv CEO, Micheal Ataga has been crowned as MISS CELL 2022 at a beauty pageant held within kirikiri correctional facility to mark the 2022 International Women’s Day," captioned the photograph.
Recall that Ojukwu is currently being held for the alleged murder of the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga.
The 22-year-old who was said to be an undergraduate of the University of Lagos had initially confessed to the murder, according to State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
However, the case took a sudden twist when Ojukwu recanted her confession and pleaded not guilty to Ataga's murder when she appeared before a Lagos High Court sitting at Tafawa Balewa Square in October 2021.
The 22-year-old who remains in detention is facing eight counts bordering on the offences of murder, forgery and stealing.
