PHOTOS: Former Anambra governor in court for Nnamdi Kanu’s trial
A former Governor of Anambra State, South East Nigeria, Chukwuemeka Ezeife, has arrived at the Federal high court in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, to witness the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Ezeife was appointed by the leadership of the Apex-Igbo organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, to lead a delegation that will monitor Nnamdi Kanu’s court proceedings.
Nnamdi Kanu’s trial will continue today, four years after he jumped bail and fled the country.
The IPOB leader is facing several charges among which are possession of illegal firearms, terrorism, and treasonable felony, which carries the death penalty.
