Oromoni: Police arrest three indicted Dowen College students
At least three students of Dowen College have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command in connection to the death of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr.
WuzupNigeria reported that the 12-year-old boy died mysteriously after he was allegedly tortured for refusing to join a cult group in the school.
The news of his death sparked outrage on social media and subsequently an indefinite closure of the school (which is located in the Lekki of the state) by the Lagos State Government.
According to reports, about five students of the school were alleged to have been the major suspects.
Confirming the arrest on Tuesday, the Lagos Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, said that three out of the five students are already in custody, according to Vanguard.
