El-rufai’s son makes mockery of Peter Obi, Moghalu’s presidential ambitions
Bashir, the son of Governor Nasir El-rufai of Kaduna State has made a mockery of former presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Kingsley Moghalu on Twitter.
Obi, a former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, ran in the 2019 presidential election as Vice Presidential candidate to Atiku Abubakar under the Peoples Democratic Party but lost to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) and his deputy, Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN).
Subsequently, Moghalu – former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, was the presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party in the 2019 presidential election.
As the regime of Buhari comes to an end in 2023, questions of his successor have become a topic for discussion with the likes of All Progressives National leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, already declaring interest in the race.
Although Obi and Moghalu are yet to publicly declare their interest in the 2023 presidential elections, Bashir appeared to have predicted the outcome if they contest in the next elections.
On Obi’s ambition, the governor’s stated that the former Anambra governor cannot win the presidential race.
He however believes that Moghalu would win but in a more ridiculous term by declaring him Nigeria’s “Twitter Branch” President.
“Peter Obi cannot win. Kingsley Moghalu is the undisputed President of Nigeria (Twitter Branch), please,” the tweet read.
Meanwhile, former Imo State Governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha and Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State have also entered the race, having declared interest in the 2023 presidency.
