JUST IN: DSS, Police bully Journalists at Nnamdi Kanu trial

As the trial of the embattled leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, reusmes Tuesday, operatives of the Department of State Services and the Police force, have once again harassed journalists.

The PUNCH reported that the operatives chased journalists who assembled at the Federal High Court, Abuja, to prevent them from covering the proceedings of Kanu.

Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mike Ozekhome, the Nigerian Bar Association and Socio-cultural groups such as the Ohaneze and Afenifere had berated the operatives for preventing journalists from exercising their civic rights.

WuzupNigeria reported that the Federal Government, on Monday, amended the terrorism charges levelled against Kanu from seven to 15.

The charges bother on treasonable felony marked FHC/ABJ/CR/383/2015 and signed by the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, M. B. Abubakar.
