The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) has revealed that the Fifth Generation technology will play a pivotal role in Nigeria’s efforts towards enhancing security nationwide.

Buhari made this known while launching the National Policy on 5G technology for Nigeria’s Digital Economy during Tuesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting.

According to Daily Post, the President noted that the Federal Government will take full advantage of the opportunities created by the technology.

He added that the initiative will be beneficial to virtually every sector of the economy, including enhanced connectivity, improved healthcare, support education while fostering smart cities and boosting agriculture, among other advantages.
