Media personality and vlogger Toke Makinwa has been at the receiving end of criticisms on social media for expressing her dislike for men who call via Whatsapp.
The On becoming author made this known in a video on her weekly vlog on love, sex and relationship.
Makinwa gave her take on men who refuse to spend money on calling units but opt for Whatsapp call to save cost adding that it gives a funny signal to the recipient.
However, she gave exceptions for men in another country with different time zones, stressing that spending money to call is more attractive.
She said, “I think it is okay to Whatsapp, just as long as you also call,”
“I think calling shows that he is also putting some efforts into wanting to speak with you, and when I say call, I don’t mean Whatsapp call.
“Spend your money, let me feel as if your on the phone for an hour on your money. If a guy calls via Whatsapp, I feel funny.”
