An Assistant Superintendent of Police, John Samuel, has come under serious attack from Nigerians who took to their Twitter handles to lambaste the officer for supporting police brutality.
The trouble started after an activist and media personality, Funmi Adewola, posted a video and pictures of one Inspector, Murtala Lawal, brutalising a lady, Anne Bibi at Dopemu area of Lagos, on her Facebook account.

The ASP who saw the criticisms the post sparked on social media angrily commented on the timeline saying, “the lady would be dead if he was at the scene of the incident.”
He went ahead to accuse the brutalised lady of being disrespectful to a police inspector, adding that if he was at the scene of the incident, he would have charged Bibi for being stubborn and being rude to a police officer.
ASP Samuel’s comment in no time generated more angry reactions from Nigerians, with some of them calling for his immediate sack while others suggest he should be made to undergo a psychiatric test.
