Senator Ned Nwoko is not planning to dump the All Progressives Congress, his campaign chief has said.

Hon. Leonard Esegbue, who led the Ned Nwoko Campaign Organisation in 2019 and is a former commissioner, said there is no truth in the rumours making the rounds that the Delta North senator is leaving the party.

“Ned Nwoko is committed to the APC and he is ready to go the whole hog with the party,” Esegbue said.

He blamed those behind the rumours for trying to stir trouble between Nwoko and President Bola Tinubu, who the senator has openly supported for a second term in 2027.

“The rumour is the handiwork of mischief makers who are envious of the Senator’s rising political profile,” he said.

Esegbue also urged those spreading the falsehood to stop and focus on better things.

“Let them stop distracting us and start doing something meaningful,” he said.

He explained that if the senator ever has anything new to say about his political journey, it will come directly from the APC.

“Any future political announcement will be made under the APC,” he said.

Ned Nwoko, who was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, officially joined the APC on February 5, 2025. His move was welcomed by his supporters and party leaders at the time.
