Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, has launched a free JAMB registration scheme for 1,500 students in his senatorial district.

The lawmaker announced the initiative in a statement on his official X page on Wednesday, coinciding with the nationwide commencement of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration.

Nwoko stated the drive is driven by his belief that “education is the foundation upon which lasting development is built” and that “no qualified student should be denied access to higher education due to financial constraints.”

The beneficiaries will be selected from the nine Local Government Areas of Delta North: Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Ika North East, Ika South, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West, Oshimili North, Oshimili South, and Ukwuani.

“In furtherance of my commitment to human capital development, I am pleased to announce the commencement of a free JAMB UTME registration drive for 1,500 students from the Delta North Senatorial District for the 2026 academic year,” the senator said.

He outlined the eligibility criteria, noting that applicants must be 16 years or older by September 30, 2026, and must generate a JAMB profile code using their National Identification Number.

The application deadline is Sunday, February 15, 2026. Interested candidates are to complete their registration via the dedicated portal: https://tinyurl.com/ysp9p4sd.

Nwoko reaffirmed his commitment, saying he remains “resolute in advancing policies and programmes that expand access to education, empower our youths, and strengthen the social and economic future of Delta North.”

The 2026 UTME registration began on January 26 and will close on February 28, 2026.
