The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency seized ten bags of Cannabis Sativa, amounting to 100kg, hidden in a school ceiling in Nasarawa State.
The operation was prompted by a tip-off regarding illicit drug activities in an undisclosed school situated in Angwan Woje, Lafia Local Government.
Upon receiving the information, NDLEA operatives promptly searched and uncovered the narcotics slyly hidden within the ceiling of the school premises.
It was discovered that the covert drug transactions were facilitated by the school’s security personnel.
The State Commander of NDLEA, Paul Odaudu, confirmed the operation, stating, “Following credible intelligence on illicit drug activities in a school in Angwan Woje, Lafia Local Government, operatives of the NDLEA Nasarawa Command swiftly moved in and discovered ten bags of Cannabis Sativa weighing 100kg concealed in the ceiling of the school.”
Odaudu further revealed that one suspect connected to the crime had been apprehended.
