The Nasarawa State government has expressed its readiness to organise a Job Fair for 100 youths who are currently being trained on entrepreneurship and employability skills in the state.
The state’s Deputy Governor, Emmanuel Akabe, made this known while speaking with newsmen during a visit to the venue of the training in Lafia, the state capital.
Akabe expressed confidence that after completing the training, the participants would attract employers in the scheduled job fair on November 18th and that, they will be able to start businesses of their own and be employers of labour.
“The job fair is where we are going to bring the employers and employees together.
“We are hoping and praying that some of them will be able to grab jobs of their own,” he said.
One of the participants, Mr Sunusi Abdulsalam, who spoke to our Correspondent, lauded the state government for the training and promised to put the employability and entrepreneurship skill he has learnt into good use.
