Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that the club will not listen to offers below €100m for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

This is according to an Italian publication, tuttonapoli.net, as the Nigerian continues to attract interests from top European clubs with his blistering form.

Signed from Lille for a club-record fee of £81m plus ads on, the 23-year-old bagged Osimhen 10 league goals in his debut season, a record he has surpassed this season after netting a brace to give Napoli a comeback 2-1 win over Udinese.

Osimhen became the first Nigerian in history to reach the double figures of goals in two different Serie A seasons, as well as the fourth African player to do so, after George Weah, Samuel Eto’o and Mohamed Salah.

In all competitions, the Nigerian forward who has battled injuries, including a facial fracture, and COVID, has scored 15 goals and four assists in 25 appearances.

However, De Laurentiis is willing to listen to offers for the sought after striker who has attracted interests from the likes of Newcastle, Arsenal, Tottenham, Real Madrid and even Manchester United.

“The increasingly convincing performances and goals of Victor Osimhen in the Napoli shirt are increasing attention and polls towards the Nigerian forward in view of the summer,” the website statement read in part.

“Napoli’s idea is certainly not to deprive themselves of him in June, but a lot will depend on any offers and also on the ideas of the player and his entourage.

“At what figures? The starting point will be €100m, unless the president Aurelio De Laurentiis will not even sit at the negotiating table.”
