Naira Marley preaches repentance
It’s the Ramadan fasting season again; a period when Muslims worldwide are obligated to abstain from food and drink every day from dawn to sunset for 30 days.
This period, Ramadan, provides the reward of self-growth and the opportunity to learn more about the Islamic religion. And Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, has moved away from the norm of what he’s most popular for; obscene lyrics and sexual inuendos, to conform with the fasting period.
The music artiste took to Twitter, where he turned preacher and urged his fans to have a one on one conversation with Allah.
Naira Marley also urged his followers to seek repentance.
Muslims across the world are currently fasting ahead of their Ramadan celebrations and there are so many things they can’t do at this period. They can’t fornicate, smoke, take alcoholic drinks, lie, steal, scam and so much more.
He wrote:
“Have a one on one with Allah: seek repentance.
“How to complete the Quran for Ramadan in 30days.
“The Quran has approximately 600 pages. Read 20 pages per day. That’s only 4 pages after salat.”
