Human rights activist and lawyer, Reno Omokri, has declared Nigeria singer, Davido, wiser than most of the people who came together to donate money after he tweeted his account details.
This statement comes after the ‘Shopping Spree’ singer donated the N251m he generated to different orphanages.
On Wednesday, Davido had asked his friends and fans to donate N1m each to him for his birthday.
Although he set a goal of N100m, he was beyond shocked at the turn out as it was nothing he envisaged.
He decided to live by his popular slogan, “We live by raising others” as he donated the N201m he generated from his friends and fans with an added 50 million from his pocket.
Reacting to the act of generosity from Davido, Omokri in a Facebook post on Saturday said; “Davido is much wiser than all those who gave him money for his birthday.
“He understands the spiritual realm and the ways of God. He has secured a soft spot in the Heart of the Creator, by virtue of James 1:27. I commend him.
“What a heart of Gold. What a man to watch for the future. Could his life trajectory be like Ronald Reagan’s? Those who gave to him are a different issue entirely. They should read Proverbs 22:16.”
