Veteran Yoruba actor Yinka Quadri has opened up on his love life, saying his wife, Sadiat, knows about the actresses he dates and still treats them well.
In a snippet of an interview with African A-List released on Friday, the actor said his wife maintained a cordial relationship with the women, even when some of them told her about his relationships with other actresses.
Quadri explained that some actresses would approach his wife to gossip about his relationships with other women, even though some of them were also dating him.
“At some point, some female colleagues in the industry will approach my wife to gossip that I’m dating other actresses, even though I’m also dating some of the very actresses who gossip about me. My wife knows about it and doesn’t fight with them,” he said.
The film star also disclosed that his wife played host to some of the actresses who visited their home after late-night movie productions, despite knowing about their relationships with him.
“Sometimes, when we finish production late and some of them come to sleep at my house, my wife feeds and takes care of them despite knowing that I’m dating them,” Quadri said.
Quadri met Sadiat in 1985, and they married in 1989. Their marriage is blessed with children and grandchildren.
In other news, Yinka was appointed as Special Marshal for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.
Speaking on the appointment, Yinka said he was honoured by the recognition, noting that it was not only a mark of his commitment but also a call to serve with greater dedication, integrity, and passion in promoting traffic management, road safety, and public enlightenment across Lagos State.
Yinka Quadri had also called on Nollywood to unite and have a voice. He said it was time the industry tackled false accusations, libel, and slander, and possibly hired a legal team. Yinka noted that emotional blackmail is no joke and that celebrities are not robots, as they also have human feelings.
