Tottenham Hotspur coach, Jose Mourinho has paid tribute to the late football legend and one of the greatest ever, Diego Maradona.
The Argentine icon and world cup winner lost his life after suffering cardiac arrest on Wednesday at the age of 60.
Speaking after Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Ludogorets in the Europa League on Thursday night, Mourinho spoke about the two sides of Maradona that he knows.
The former Chelsea and Manchester United manager revealed that he felt “sorry that I didn’t spend more time with” Maradona and will “miss… Diego the guy”.
“Maradona the world knows, the world never forgets,” he said. “I made sure that my son knows a lot about him, even being born after he was a player. I know my son will make sure when he is a father he will not let his kids forget.
